What To Do In Hawaii For Non-swimmers?

I am a non-swimmer and practically afraid of the swimming because I might get drowned. Is there other thing than surfing or swimming that we can do in Hawaii?

The Great Luau In Hawaii

I love to attend Luaus. For me, I feel like I belong when I do the Hawaiian dance and even eat the traditional food. However, I have never been in a real Luau because I have never to Hawaii not until a few months ago.

My sister planned our great Hawaiian vacation. It was sort of her gift to our parents for their 35th wedding anniversary.

We stayed in Maui and checked in at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. We had island hopping and even had Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkeling Tour.

On our second night, we joined a festive Luau party and it was the best. We had sumptuous meals that I can say one of the best I have tasted in my entire life. I danced all night long and our parents, they too enjoyed it.

I can’t wait to visit Hawaii again and attend a Luau party and enjoy its wonderful waters.

Our Great Family Adventure In Hawaii

I was always fascinated with movies or TV shows that features Hawaii. I feel like being there would be really great because I get to feel the warmth of the sun and of course, I get to swim in its pristine waters.

Being a Northern American, perhaps, I can only boast of my swimming experience in pools and indoor water parks because when it comes to the beaches, I will be freezing dead in no time.

That is why, when my wife told me that we will go to Hawaii for her sister’s wedding, I was really excited.

We stayed in Castle Kona Reef Resort. The resort was really enchanting. The sea water was so clear that I could not wait any longer to dive in. My sister-in-laws wedding was really great. The resort had everything in place. From the decorations to the flowers and even the Luau party after the wedding ceremony.

Our first Hawaiian experience was truly memorable and we are coming back to enjoy the sun and sand.

Which Hawaiin Island is best for a Family Vacation?

My boyfriend and his daughter have never been to Hawaii. I want to plan a vacay there for us but can’t decide what island to go to. We want good hiking and surf(little waves)/snorkel, not to much tourist/city stuff, we have that where we live. Any ideas?

Response from Best Family Beach Vacations:

You can do these activities on all the Islands, that’s whats so great about Hawaii. The best bet for your family is probably Kauai or Maui.

Kauai Island
Kauai, the Garden Island, makes for a vacation getaway of your dreams. Waterfalls, scenic drives and more than 60 beaches dot the landscape. Enjoy the water, but don’t miss hiking the Kalalau Trail on the Na Pali coastline, taking a day trip to Waimea Canyon and experiencing life on a sugar plantation at Grove Farm Homestead Museum.

Maui Island
If watching the sunrise from atop a 10,000-foot volcano, swimming under waterfalls, hiking through craters and luxuriating on white-, red- and even black-sand beaches sounds like paradise, then Maui awaits. Golf, fine dining, a winery, museums and sipping a Mai Tai on the beach round out the perfect tropical vacation.
